Henry had only one \u2026ahem\u2026challenging game that I witnessed, and that was against 3rd place finisher, Aaron Huang.\u00a0 Aaron tricked Henry, won a knight, and had an easily winning position. Now Aaron started celebrating wildly while the game was still in progress. He soon blundered his Queen and lost.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Alexavier Ly-Liu matched Aaron on 7\/9 points and had the better tiebreak so took second place.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Also thanks to Tom Slayter-Jones for being the arbiter, and Churchie Master of Chess Max Condon, who, together with son Mitchell, took late registrations and managed a large number of excited young children. Not a task for the fainthearted \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

It was nice to have so many visitors from other Schools. All the girls featured prominently on the top boards throughout the tournament, and as you can see below, in the final standings as well.<\/p>\nFBlitzP1<\/a>\n
