This is also a great opportunity for me to tell you about a few great chess sites where you can follow these events. First, the Alekhine Memorial.

http://www.alekhine-memorial.com/ This is the official site. The running commentary from Nigel Short Jan Timman and Judith Polgar was great. They did however often concentrate on one game for a long time so I had another window open.

http://whychess.com/ Here there were links to both tournaments with the ability to view any game that was in progress. Since I especially wanted to follow the games of Levon Aronian I had this window open all the time while listening to the commentary on the other site. There are also lots of good instructional videos here.

Now to the FIDE Grand prix.

http://zug2013.fide.com/ The official site. Lots of news and links to live games and video commentary.

http://www.chessvibes.com/ Chessvibes is my morning-coffee site. Here you can find a round up the next morning with the games in a viewer and videos. Lots of other stuff as well like the news archive, a theory-newsletter and online chess shop. Only annoying thing is the comments section which seems to be a hangout for trolls. It can be ignored though. Occasionally morbid curiosity gets the better of me and i waste precious time reading some of them. Do as I say, not as I do

http://chesstv.com/en Chess 24/7 ! There is a lot of Russian spoken on this site but the commentary is of course first class. If you watch it long enough you might learn chess-Russian. English commentary is infrequent.

Do you know of any other good sites?
