First, the expression “simple things amuse simple minds” is well known and applicable here. I find myself terribly amused by our listing in the building directory 🙂
There is a full weekend of Chess coming up. Apart from our Saturday event Somerville house is also running two tournaments. Details below.
Saturday 2 March ” Doubleroo Junior Chess Club”
Due to numerous requests we are opening our Saturday training sessions to boys. As usual we kick off at 2pm and go through to 4.30pm, sometimes a bit longer if there are still games going.

Friday 1 March “Somerville House Summer High Schools Teams Chess Invitational”
This event takes place at Somerville House between the hours of 3.30pm and 10.30pm.

Registration is at 10.30am and the event finishes at 3pm.
